How to enable 2.4ghz devices on your eero router - temporarily disable the 5GHz

eero uses a single SSID that allows devices to live on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz radio frequency. This ensures your devices are able to move along eero's mesh efficiently, delivering the highest results to the devices throughout your entire home.

Some devices require the use of the 2.4 GHz frequency.
eero has created a Legacy mode as a temporary solution to get your device online. Please see follow the instructions below to activate Legacy Mode using the eero app:
  • Open the eero app and tap Settings on the bottom right
  • Tap Troubleshooting
  • Tap My device won’t connect
  • Tap on My device is 2.4 Ghz only
  • Temporarily pause 5 Ghz
  • Your device should now be able to detect and join your eero network

If there is a eero update for your router, make sure its all updated (all done via the eero app on your mobile)
