If your mobile signal coverage is down, make sure and enable Wi-Fi calling, you can still make and receive calls as normal.
You just need to enable the feature on your mobile (android/iPhone) and have a working internet WIFI connection and your mobile phone network needs to support it.
Some mobile phone networks also support SMS via Wi-Fi calling.
To enable WIFI calling, Phone > menu (3 dots) > enable Wi-Fi calling. (Samsung phones) Some android phones have a slightly different layout Only pay monthly and sim only contracts this will work with and providing your phone & network is supported and updated.
As well as Wi-Fi calling, the other main app is WhatsApp which will support WhatsApp to WhatsApp calling and messaging etc as normal providing your internet is working.
Apple iPhones
- On your iPhone, go to Settings, Phone, and tap on Wi-Fi Calling.
- Toggle on Add Wi-Fi Calling for Other Devices.
- Go to Settings, Phone, and tap on Calls on Other Devices.
- Toggle on Allow Calls on Other Devices and then toggle on any listed device below that you want to make Wi-Fi calls on.
If your electric is out, your out of luck - (however; providing your fibre connection is still up, technically you can power the eero router and Nokia ONT using a suitable power bank with the correct cables for a short amount of time, as fibre doesn't use electric itself.
eero requires - 5v/3A. Nokia ONT - 12v/0.5A.
If you have a UPS with the correct cables, that will work with no problem.
