UPDATE "Storm Éowyn" - Red weather warning has now been issued for N.Ireland and parts of Scotland for (Friday 24th January) Winds from 80 - 100 mph are now expected.

The red warning for the whole of Northern Ireland will be in force from 07:00 to 14:00 on Friday, affecting the morning rush hour.

An amber warning is also in place for parts of Scotland and the north of England on Friday. The rest of the country will face strong winds, rain and snow, with the entire country under at least one yellow warning as Storm Éowyn moves across the UK.
